This project involved the skills of adaptive reuse and restoration of a landmark building for the NYS Office of Mental Health, DASNY and the NYS Department of Social Services. The building was reorganized into forty one bedroom apartments on the upper four floors with commercial, restaurant and office space on the ground floor. The exterior of the building was lovingly restored to its original 1912 beauty, complete with a new cornice designed to match the original. Recipient of the New York State Association of Architects Excellence in Design Award, the Westchester/Mid-Hudson Chapter AIA, First Honor Award for Recognition of Architectural Excellence, and published in the Architectural Record.
